Nicki Minaj Offers To Donate To XXXTentacion’s Family Foundation
The rapper, who was gunned down on June 18 while leaving a motorsports company in Deerfield, Florida, leaves behind an unborn child and family, so fellow rappers and celebrities, particularly Lil Uzi Vert, are trying to help them.
“Been speaking to @xxxtentacion family. I want to start a fund/foundation to make sure his child and family are well taken care of not just temporary but for life,” Lil Uzi Vert tweeted on June 26. “I don’t care if you didn’t know him he is part of the hip hop / rock community I NEED HELP from celebrities Please.”
Minaj answered Vert’s call for action.
“I’d be honored to help babe,” she responded. “Hit me w/ the info.”
Police arrested suspect Dedrick D. Williams, 22, in connection to the rapper’s murder.
XXXTentacion’s lawyer, David J. Bogenschutz, confirmed that his funeral and fan memorial taking place at the 20,000-seat BB&T Center in Florida will feature an open-casket viewing on Wednesday.
